This year’s little league baseball season may be over but for one local team it ended with a bang! The Mayport Naval Station All-Stars came out on top, winning the State championship and finishing the season with an overall record of 17-3. Two of this year’s team members were SN Peter Guarno and SR Michael “Mac” Ciccone of the Mayport Division Sea Cadets. Both boys had great season records:

The whole team got together at the Mayport Road Dick’s Wings for the trophy ceremony and lunch. Among the people there to congratulate the team was Captain Aaron Bowman, USN, who is the Executive Officer for Naval Station Mayport. Captain Bowman took time to come out and pose for pictures with each team member as he presented them with the State Championship trophy.
